That's a tricky question for me Yes and No. Its natural to want to live forever but under todays conditions, hatred, crime and diseases its scary to think of living to hundred or forever.
I use to teach the bible at a nursing home. One of the ladies I read the bible too was 103 yrs old. She was amazing; her mind was so sharp after we would read the bible she would tell me about her life. It was heartbreaking for me to watch her physical body give out. She never lost her sense of humor about life. She lived to be 104 yrs old she died one month before her 105th birthday. If I live as long as she did (Henrietta) I hope I have the same positive attitude she did.
100 years - well, if I was still sharp and mostly intact, yes.
I agree that as we age a positive attitude helps get us through some of the aches and pains and heartaches, too, of seeing our relatives and friends pass on around us ...
I visisted my aunt a couple of weeks before she died at 92. As I left, I said something like 'get better'. She said very sincerely "Either way, I win." Thats the attitude I want to have no matter how long I live.
I want to live as long as I can wheter it is 100 or 200 years. And I want to be excited about everyday. (Thats something I have to work on.) There is so much I want to do, I don't know how I can get it all done!
