Lets talk about women of the Bible. Who do you admire? Would you have liked to live her life?

Here are a few suggestions

Esther; she did what God would have her do, without worrying for herself. Although she did worry for her family - but I think that's natural for any woman.

I would love to be like her, but I doubt I could ever have enough courage.

The other is Mary - Jesus' mother, for much the same reason. How brave she must have been! She had to have known the ridicule she would face. But I don't know if she had any idea what raising the Son of God would be like. And did she know that she would have to give Him up in such a violent way? It must have been a terrible road for a mother. Because although he was Messiah, he was still her little baby, too.

Two good role models. I wonder if I could so humbly bow to God's will in those circumstances.

On a side note. It would have been incredible to be Esther. According to history, the palace she lived in was gigantic in size and full of beautiful art treasures.

I have a hard time tithing sometimes when the bills are getting tight!

I wonder what it takes to find that kind of steel inside oneself?

I know the feeling. I think that is a struggle for many of us.

I think that the answer is TRUST - (big, absolute, blind trust) and knowing that God's word is the absolute truth. The world as we see it doesn't compare to the real thing that we will see one day.
