This poem examins mans love for the Manifestations of God, the Bab and Baha'u'llah. It uses the images of the "sun" and the moon" given to us in the Book of Certitud. I am preparing a series of poems to put on stage to be acted out like a "Play" with music (drums), costums, lighting, the works... Most of my poetry about the faith is in Spanish. And it is very difficult for me to translate from one language to the other.

Walking Over Shallow Waters

Saw a dog barking at a lemon
thinking it to be the moon.
Cowardice is a thing of men,

not of lovers, for remembrance
can't save them. It was then that He cried
for me, now I cry for wanting Him.

What can be said if you've tasted evenings
in His embrace, gold and diamonds stitched in
instants. Does it matter if they say I'm broken,

shattered of sun, moon and lemon?
I'm a happy man and I want my dead to forgive
my happiness, just for today, my happy day.

Look! I see you walk over
shallow waters through the
slums of your broken heart.
