I'm trying to teach myself to crochet. I went on the site and got as far as the single crochet lesson. It says to follow the instructions and go to forum to see what you have made. Where is that? Also not sure about crochet in the round. Help!! <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

It is a potholder <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Please explain what you are having trouble with crocheting in the round, If you check out the lessons there are several for cirlces but if that isn't it, please let me know. I usually go on the knitting site but have been trying to learn crochet. I understand the part up to sc in remaining 19 ch. This is the part that I don't understand..."now working down, other or opposite side of ch, sc in next 19 ch. total of 39 sc." Does that mean that after sc in the 19 ch I just continue around and do the sc on the other side?

Yep, try thinking of it as having a right and left side, you are going up the left side so now you want to go down the right side. Does that help ?

Hang in there joygal, it does get easier and you will be addicted in no time.
