I hope Stephanie and her mom are okay.

We just found out that the Bellydance Superstars are going to be performing near us in Oklahoma City next month! We may not be able to get our act together for this one but plan on a road trip to Kansas City, KS to see them in March. It's a 4 hour drive and my in-laws live there. We'll stop by and scoop up my MIL <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Did you get to see them? I saw them in... March? Can't remember now, might have been February. Technically I thought they were great, absolutely superb. But only 3 of them exuded any soul onstage... only 3 looked like they were actually enjoying themselves performing. Sad! Still a wonderful show, I would encourage anyone to see it. Didn't so much enjoy the hula dance and Spanish style myself, but they were excellent. The barrel turns with the isis wings blew my mind!

Sonia from BDSS is doing a 3-hour workshop in Chicago on August 5th. It's $65!!! That's in advance, $75 on the door. Thing is, for that cost, I'd expect personal attention but the class is probably going to be massive. Oh well. I'm preparingn for a Hafla I'm performing at that same day anyway. :-)
