My friend at Universal forwarded me the track list for Andrea Bocelli's upcoming CD Amore and Christina Aguilera sings a duet with Bocelli. I thought this was an interesting combination. The CD is released at the end of the month and I've already been hearing good comments about the album. I can't wait to hear some of it, especially the song with Christina Aguilera.

At first glance I can see how someone would go "What?!?!"

But the thing is, Aguilera has one of the most talented voices out there today - far surpassing even Mariah Carey, and possibly even Whitney Houston. She just went and decided to "skank" up her image to try and outdo Brittney Spears, and her talent got overlooked and underplayed. When she first came out with I think it was "Genie in a Bottle" I was going - "This kid is 16?"

She has strength, she has range, she has beautiful pitch and tone - that sounds like the perfect makings of an opera singer to me! (It actually sounds like another Annie Lennox)

With the combo of Andrea Bocelli's voice in there as well it will be a beautiful song. Stevie Wonder's collaboration with Bocelli on a song also will be a good one!

Andrea Bocelli was kind of a given!
There is nothing he could do but to make a song better!

( do you think he could help out RoseAnne Barr? )

I just had a contact from a rep @ Universal, hopefully i'll be getting to review this CD!

They want to send me his latest one, and I can't imagine another one coming out so soon; so I'm really excited!

I was really impressed when I heard this duet.... Christina really outdid herself. It's not QUITE Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.... when those two sang "Con Te Partido" (aka Time To Say Goodbye), I couldn't stop listening to it for days. Just that one song. Drove my S.O. nuts, I'm sure.

LoL! I just saw Roseanne on the Martha Stewart Show a while back. She's doing a bunch of kid's shows. They showed a clip where she's singing and she's gotten better since her Star Spangled Banner disaster. Still though, I don't know how much Andrea B. could do to help her. *giggle*

One of my favorite duets is the "The Prayer" that he does with Celine Dion.

You know, I actually feel a bit guilty about that post now.

I was watching E! one day and they had on "The 101 worst mistake in Hollywood" or something like that - and RoseAnne's infamous national anthem was featured.

It wasn't her idea to sing the song, someone else asked her to do it! She said at first that she was really trying, but then everyone was being so venomous, that all she wanted to do was get through it. I'm not sure if it would have been worse for her to stop in the middle or not; because some people would have taken insult at that, too!

I'm hoping to talk to her for my "Star-Spangled Banner" article I want to do. I'd like to hear the whole story from her (without TV editoring!)

Hey! That'd be cool if you could interview her! She seemed like she was a bit more "centered" on the Martha show. But still funny! I think it's cute how she's taken on the role of grandma in real life. The kid's shows that she's done were all for them.

I'll be looking forward to your Star-Spangled Banner article.

I did not know about them making a song together and I am very disappointed that Andrea Bocelli lowered himself to work with her! It's like when Eminem made a song with Rihanna! Why! I will for sure not go and find that song just like I never listened to the song Eminem did with Rihanna!
