hey,

My latest article is a simple definition of dyslexia. I was inspired to write it because so many people think that dyslexia is letter reversals, when in fact reversing letters isn't even mentioned in the official definition.

I have been a reading therapist for almost 6 years. I have heard many stories of children writing backward, but I have never actually met any who do this. Yes I have met several children who reverse the letters p and q and b and d, but I have never seen anyone who actually reverses every letter or who has been raised in "western" culture who writes right to left. So I was just wondering if anyone actually knew someone who wrote backwards. Or is writing backwards just an "urban educational myth?" <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
