Hello Everyone,

Normally at the end of the month we have rant week.

But since this is the season of perpetual hope and good will toward men and all that jazz, I'd like to have a time were we can begin to be thankful for the good in society.

So I am hereby designating November 27 to December 27....

RAVE MONTH!!

Any time you see someone show correct etiquette, please list your rave here.

But if you find yourself seeing some form of incorrect etiquette, please don't hesitate to post on another thread. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Happy Holidays!

Oh I have one, & this one really impressed me!

My 2 (almost 3 yr old) is really taken with trains. So a couple of weeks ago we went on a train ride around a local park (Stone Mountain). My husband was not with me, so I was struggling with getting him (and keeping him) on the train, while also getting his stroller folded up (I brought the big one for his comfort).

Well, I had the same struggles with getting off, except that Seth didn't want to get off! Several adults passed by saying nothing, and then a young man, probably about 15 or 16 asked me if I needed some help. He was dressed just like all the kids seem to - baggy pants about to fall off, underwear half showing, bandana wrapped around a very large afro; just didn't look like the kind of kid that would offer help, more like the kind that would belong in a gang.

He got my stroller off for me and set it up, so I could capture Seth and wrestle him off the train and into the stroller. i told him thank you so much and he said, "You're welcome Ma'am." Then walked off to join his friends, half of which were dressed like some goth halloween party that forgot to take their costumes off.

I was left just shaking my head and laughing. The group looked like the toughest group of anarchists you've ever seen, but they were the only ones around I heard saying "excuse me" or "Oh, I'm sorry", or "Can I get past?" w/out just shoving someone out of the way. Especially during this crazy shopping season, the adults could learn a lot from them.
