Well I was put on bed rest last week, and on Friday night I went into labor...at 4:03 am on Saturday November 20th Ian Kohlman was born weighing in at 3lbs 11oz and right behind him at 4:06am Irelyn Kathleen was born weighing in at 4lbs 4oz. They are absolutely beautiful. Ian had some difficulty breathing at first and is having troubles sucking but is doing a lot better today, Irelyn is doing wonderfully and we can take her home once she gains a few more oz...they say she needs to be at least 5lbs. Ian will have to stay a a while until he gains more and can suck his bottle and breath on his own 24/7.

Colton and Caleb are happy, they havent been able to see the twinkies yet, but we did a video for them to watch. I cannot wait to see my boys as well, I go home tomorrow.

This is so different from the 1st set, they were not this early and we got to take them home right away as each weighed 6lbs+

I will try to pop in and let you know how things are going. I hope I will have a few minutes at least to read and respond to some of your posts.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I've been coming to Bella everyday just to see if you had given birth to the twins yet! I hope they gain the oz quickly so you can take them home sooner. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I'm so excited for you! Thank you all. Once things settle down a bit and the twinkies are home I will try and post pictures. They are doing really good. So tiny, compared to the boys, which I get to see finally later today!! Cant wait to give them hugs and kisses.

Just wanted to let you know Irelyn came home on the 23rd. She was just at 5lbs...a little porker. Ian will come home tomorrow. They are doing wonderful and once we get them both settled at home I will send pictures.

Caleb and Colton have really taken to Irelyn,they both give her kisses and always make sure they are by her, protective already. I hope bringing Ian home will be a breeze too.

Just wanted to pop in and say the family is adjusting well. Now, there isnt much sleeping going on, but I am okay with that, our parents have been coming over and taking shifts so I can take a nap or spend time with Colton/Caleb. And Colton/Caleb are starting to potty train...Colton is almost there, just a few accidents during the night, Caleb is coming along a bit slower than Colton so we still have him in pullups at night.. we are trying to make that a major focus and that will cut down on diapers as well.

Irelyn is a dreamer...rarely cries and I love dressing her all girlie...she has a small tooth on her the bottom, I freaked out and took her to the doctor because I thought it was a growth, but they say they can grow them young...okay she is only 3 1/2 weeks old, I guess kids can be born with teeth (news to me)...my husband is hoping that isnt a sign that she will develop early, he is already getting his boy scaring tactics ready.

Ian is a fighter...he cries when he is hungry or wet...he is getting really chubby, he is bigger than Irelyn now. He is the one who keeps us up in the middle of the night, but he sleeps all day long. Still trying to get the twinkies on the same schedule, but it is harder with them then it was with Colton and Caleb. Ian is a real joy and loves to be held by Grandpa.

Colton and Caleb are doing really great with Ian and Irelyn, if they are crying they will bring them their sippy cups or a toy, it is really sweet.They are really starting to repeat what we say so we have to watch ourselves more and more and try not to laugh when we slip and they repeat (my husband isnt too good at that yet)The other day I had Caleb take one of the babies dirty diapers and put it in the trash and he said "Awww..Sh**" I was shocked, it was clear as can be and my mother in law was sitting right there. I felt guilty but then she laughed too, said it happens to everyone when their kids start talking.

HAHAHA! That made me giggle... sounds just like how my dad was with me and how my husband will most likely be if we ever have a girl. :P

I'm sure Irelyn is going to get a lot of attention and be the princess of the house... since shes the only girl of four. And as she gets older, its likely she'll be a tomboy, but I guess you'll have to wait and see! I've met some girls who went completely opposite from tomboy even though they had 3 or 4 (or more) brothers, lol... so only time can tell.

Update...wow Ian and Irelyn are 2months old today, and boy has life been busy. They are doing great, and Ian is sleeping through the night...well from 8-9pm til 5am...Irelyn on the other hand...wakes up at least once, so a sleep pattern is finally starting to evolve. Hopefully in the next few weeks she will be right there with Ian and mommy can get a full night of sleep. They are getting super chubby and are starting to smile and they are noisy, always jabbering about something, Colton and Caleb were so much more quiet. Can't wait for them to start laughing and really smiling though.

Colton and Caleb are doing great...have the big boy potty almost down pat. Colton refuses to sit and piddle and has to stand up like his dad so we have a step stool in front of the toilet now along with toys ya know (not old enough for reading material)...you know they can't use the little kid stool anymore too big for that. Colton had an accident the other day with the lid falling down...not fun, poor little guy, hard not to laugh and then he came to me a few minutes later with the box of bandaids, I think I have a comedian on my hands...of course their dad is just laughing. Caleb is doing great too he has a few more accidents than Colton, but not very many, mainly at night time, and is starting to stand up like a big boy. (I know you all want to hear this, but I am proud of them). They are getting so big and love the babies. They call Ian... brofer, and Irelyn... Nincess, so now the family calls Irelyn...Nince (hoping that doesnt stick)otherwise she will hate me later, but I cannot get the boys to say Irelyn for the life of me, maybe too difficult

I will try posting pictures soon, cuz Lord knows I have 100's of them...I just for the life of me cannot figure out this digital camera, well I cant figure out how to download them, I wish they would have bought me a basic one. Hope I cant get that figured out soon.
