Hey Everyone.

I'm unsure which section this should go into, so I decided to post it in here.

My Mother has a personal Psychic, and her Psychic told her that if anyone in the family wanted a reading, that she would gladly do it for them. So, I've been thinking about it, and I do want one, but I'm scared.

I've always been very interested in Tarot, Horoscopes, Palm Readings, Psychic Readings, etc. but I've always been to scared to get anything done, aside from those little free internet horoscopes. My fear while doing this reading is that evil spirits will come through. She does it over the phone since she lives in another country. She said that she has, a few times, successfully done it through the internet, but she's not always certain she can get a proper connection or something. So, though I would much prefer to do it through the internet, I will do it by phone, to get better results, my fear is that since we're even closer, that maybe an evil spirit will come over..through the phone and into me or my home.

I know it may sound crazy, but it really scares me, though I really do want it done.

Personally, I feel you should spend some time examining the source of your fear. Is this religiously based? Have you heard of someone experiencing such an event when they sought a reading? Is it based on media input, e.g. movies, etc? Or, is it an intuitive "knowing".

I do not recommend that you seek a reading until this is clear in your own head and mind. Fear is very potent and can attract things with it's intensity. You want to feel confident, grounded, and secure in your own Spirit before embarking on any spiritual activity that makes you in the least bit uncomfortable.

I've had Tarot readings in person and on the phone and I've found them very peaceful
Maybe if you did some reading about them on the internet you could get more comfortable before you do it

I think June gives very good advice. I would second her thoughts.

I also feel perhaps you should learn more about the method of "reading" you want. If it is tarot, then it would help to read about the history of tarot and some basic info on how readings are done. That help you also understand your feelings.

In the long run, it is important to trust your instincts. If you have a bad feeling about it at this time, then wait.
