I got a really touching email from my home town about having time for god. I went to share the info with my fiance. I told him about it and it hurts me that he doesn't want to give god any credit for what god has blessed us with. I dont know how to go by this if I should let him be the way he is or try to save his soul? The email touched me so much that it made think about life alot more.

You should consider not marrying this person. Your relationship with your spouse is supposed to be a spiritual representation of your relationship with God. Father-Son-Holy Spirit. Husband-Wife-Jesus Christ. God in your marriage represents the Holy Trinity. If your fiance is not saved you should consider calling off the engagement. The husband is supposed to be head of the family but Christ is supposed to be head of the husband. If Christ is not Lord of your fiance he will resist Jesus being head of your household. The net result will be that either he will draw closer to God or you will draw further away. Since he can draw closer to God without being married just yet, why risk yourself? Pray about this and the DO whatever God tells you in prayer. Ultimately, God has your best interests at heart.

As a Christian, you are supposed to be under your husband's authority. And most pastor's would advise you that still counts even if your husband is a non-Christian unless it comes into direct conflict with God.

However that is going to put a major strain on your relationship. Because you two will have vastly different priorities. Also, what about children in the future? It is very hard to raise Christian children in today's society when both parents are Christians, much less when one doesn't care anything about God.

Think long and hard about this man. It could be that God is showing you his true sould now, before you step into a lifelong relationship with him. OR it could be that God is showing you that you need to gather some good Christian friends around you, and y'all need to get on your knees and pray for this man - and start teaching him about about Jesus. Just don't marry him until you have this worked out - and pray, pray, pray about it. <img src="/images/graemlins/heart.gif" alt="" />

Cookie, you have a good heart and I've seen you giving God praise for the blessings that you have. If you don't feel that you can share that with you fiancee, then I agree with Michelle and David about getting with a group of Christians and PRAYING alot about what God wants for YOU. Life and marriage is SO MUCH more fun and fulfilling (and easier) if you and your mate are following God's plan. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Good points guys. Marriage is beautiful but it is a struggle at times. Having a different worldview than your spouse will make the tough times tougher when they are supposed to make you stronger.
