You are so right in my opinion Janet. Having taught in State schools for over a decade I felt like I wanted to scrap what was happening there & start again!

Maybe one day there will be less emphasis on grades & making 'one size fit all' & more on finding & utilising a child's special strengths & abilities.

*nodding*

When I was in college I had a friend that was married with 3 kids and she homeschooled all her kids. (Her husband was my classmate). It was then I decided "When I have kids, I'm homeschooling!"

When my son received his diagnosis, it threw me for a loop for awhile, but then I realized that in fact it was the PERFECT thing for him. A visit to the psychologist this summer confirmed it: the doc concluded that my son was blossoming, seemed to be improving dramatically, and that I should continue to homeschool!

Hello I found the discussion Indigo Adults? And could not help but register to say a few things, I am looking/seeking like minded people to grow and share with.
Finally these strange occurrences of my life are starting to make sense. (I think). I have been lost in this world were I thought that was not right for me. From a young child (I have a few memories from about 2YO) with abilities to speak to the other side, ET mind control? and OBEs from about 4YO through to my late teens, when because I felt I am not of this world I went into a very rebellious time. Because no one would ever believe what I was saying I just thought WTF, but knew in my heart that this was wrong. I am now 55 years old. 6 years ago after the suicide of my partner, I knew I had to seek and I have not stopped. I now find that I am not the only person on this planet who is different! I am an Indigo, I must be the oldest on the planet!. Finally I know what and why but not when. My Spiritual journey has taken me down many paths mainstream and alternate and know that there is no special path for Indigos we must just take on board what resonarates and leave the rest, we are all individuals and being old souls we know that everything we need is in the light inside us. We have or have yet to learn to use this eternal light for mankind, this is happening now, our Planet and the Universe are changing and we know, even if we cannot put actual words of explanation together in an understandable sentence, deep inside our DNA we are here now for our purpose? I would very much like to communicate with others who have the same feelings and if I could help others in any way that would be part of why I am here.

Hello Chela & welcome to the forum. Thanks for your perspective. Rest assured you are not the only Indigo in their 50s. I do think people with Indigo characteristics have always been amongst us, but it's only recently so many have been born that society is noticing.

Offering the insights you have gleaned along your path is very generous of you & I know that this thread is heavily viewed, so I'm sure there will be some people who can be helped this way, even if they don't personally post.

Thank you for your welcome LR. I hope that sharing our knowledge is the primary object at this stage for Indigo people. I certainly hope I am guided to where I should be, may we all stand in the light and show the way!
