The Christianity site has been revamped!! I'm so excited to have this change!! Now I cna focus on what I am really passionate about...I hope you are too...

I will incorporate many changes to come in the next few weeks. Butmainly the biggest change is that I will be focusing on the Bible more than anything else. I will be able to write about just the Word of God and the life applications and my experience with it in my own life.

One of the things I will be doing is writing more about what the Bible says about the holidays; Halloween, Christmas, and easter. I will be creating a page that links all these articles together. i will be able to go more in depth about the Word of God and concerning these topics instead of writing in such a broad sense as I was before. I am looking forward to it because what I really care about is what the Bible says.

I have organized my Book Reviews into one of my Subject links at the left of the main home page for Bible Basics. I will still be doing them and I will send out a newsletter with them whenever I have one ready for you to review yourself. Also, i am going to start asking for reader reviews of books. I think it would be an interesting feature.

I will be writing more articles about the meaning of scripture instead of current event type issues. When there is a pressing Christian current event I will write a special newsletter instead.

If you have any other ideas, let me know here...this is still your place. I'm looking forward to your ideas...

Hey Jenna!
I had someone ask me; since there are so many versions of the Bible out now (New King James, International Standard, New Life, etc.)
Which version do you plan to be using most to be doing your articles and stuff out of?

Thanks!

The version of the Bible that I use the most when writing or quoting from is the Message Bible. My personal study Bible is the NIV. but I also have several versions (MKJ, OKJ etc...) downloaded on my computer as well as the Gnostic gospels. Not to mention the scores of other books I have...my book shelf is over flowing!!! lol.

My husband got me Quickverse 2005 to go on my laptop. It is really cool. It has something like 20 versions of the bible on there; of course a couple of them are NT only, but one is a children's Bible. I like using the English Standard Version most of the time - its's easy to read. My Bible I carry is a New King James however.

But Quickverse also has all these neat devotionals, and study guides (there's one on there called "Hard Sayings of the Bible" - it brings up some really interesting things, that I never would have thought of, but apparently a lot of skeptics do!) And it's got dictionaries, reference books, and maps. It makes studying very easy.

It also makes it very easy to get carried away - although I guess in this case that's not necessarily a bad thing! <img src="/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" />
