Im a large size woman, and someone sent me a rather unique screen printed teeshirt. Since it's on a basic black teeshirt, I wanted to somehow 'adhere' the design from the too small teeshirt onto a new poly cotton one without having to sew it.

What about that iron on stuff that I've never used LOL! I think it irons on the back of the design, then ya cut it out and then peel and then iron on the new shirt?

If someone could tell me what that stuff is called so I can go into the store and at least sound like I know what I want, I'd sure appreciate it <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Also, any special washing instructions? Since I am a beadworker, I was even considiering bordering the design with beadwork and just handwashing from that day forward, or at least putting it in one of those net bags for lingerie....

I apply designs to tshirts all the time with Avery printable screenprinting labels... You can get them at Office Depot. You might be able scan the design on your scanner and then print it on the transfer... Not sure how clear the design will be, but if you have Photoshop, it might be workable.

Otherwise, I don't know of a way to do that without sewing it.

thanks for your ideas. I don't have a scanner but am willing to cut the logo off the teeshirt as long as I have that iron on sticky stuff on the back, and I can center it on a big enough teeshirt.

You are looking for fuseable web's paper. Wall mart sells it. Material section , comes on a bolt like material does.

Newark Dressmaker supply has a package of fusible interfacing that is 15" x 3 yards long. The price is $1.35. They also offer Heavy Duty Wonder Under, that is 17" wide and comes in packs of 1 yard for $2.35.

If you were unable to find any of the fuseable materials locally, these are great mail order sources.

Even after you fuse the design to the other T-Shirt, you will still probably want some kind of finish around the edge of the design piece. If you know someone who sews I would recommend turning under the edge of the design and stitching it to finish the raw edge. Once you have it fused in place it would be best to top stitch around the edge so it adheres firmly to the T-Shirt underneath.
