Basically, a guest on the O said the editor of Vogue doesn't like fat people. I was amused by the article.

Thanks to Fionna for pointing it out.

Oprah may pretend that she doesn't buy into the body image thing, that she only lost the weight for her health, but if she lost 30 lbs just so she could be on the cover of Vogue, then I believe she's shown EXACTLY where she stands on body image: Hollywood style - thin is in. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I watched that Oprah episode and was very disapointed to hear that. I know she lost her weight for a variety of reasons, looks being near or at the top. It seems that now that she has lost, and kept off her weight, she has forsaken all of us still struggling with it. If it is a widely know fact that the editor of Vogue "hates fat people", I find it offensive that Oprah even accepted the offer to do the cover. She spent so many years being terrorized by the media due to her weight...it's like she has forgotten all about that.

Oprah and her new skinny attitude sucks...

Let's face it folks, Oprah does what she does for her business. There are very few plus-size performers who stay that way once they get famous, or who stay famous if they go from being skinny to plus-size.

I mean, if we all hired full-time cooks, trainers and psychologists like she has, we'd be able to utterly transform ourselves too. You take away all that, and I'd bet money she'd turn back into the spitting image of the Oprah we remember from the early days.
