I've always had on-the-money blood pressure. I rarely fluctuate beyond a two or three point range. My doctor used to worry about it when I first started gaining weight, but now she knows that my blood pressure is the least of my worries, lol.

mine has always, always been near 130 over 90.... since I was a kid. Now that Im ffffaaaaarrrr from being a kid, it's gone up and is now controlled by medication.
I did lose 150 lbs so far, and it hasn't gone down either. So much for that old addage.. lose weight and your bp will go down, your pain will stop and etc....

ah well, Im still HERE and laughing when I can! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

When I was young and thing it was always quite low. Now it's within the normal range.

I've been reading about blood pressure and heart disease etc. And it's not the losing of weight that improves these things, apparently it's the lowering of the fat in your diet and increaseing your physical activity. You can maintain the same weight but physical activity will improve your overall health.

A lot of emphasis is based on losing weight but what you do to lose that weight can sometimes be worse.

I control my BP with meditation and some herbal concoction I get from my naturopath. It was 220/180 when my son was born(I almost always win that BP sweepstakes!) It was 137/82 this AM and wow was I aggravated!! I was on 3 different meds at one time with still unacceptable BP...I am just taking the BP Balance now...there are several versions of this online but only the stuff I get from my guy works and I know because I have bought three other things that were purportedly the real thing and they did not work. One was marginally OK IF nothing aggravated me(fat chance of THAT happening)and I took roughly 3 times what I take normally. The other two I sent back!
