As September unfolds, families are beginning new cycles that include transitions into new programs with wonderful opportunities or dreadful reputations. Together, we can get through the greatest challenges, and celebrate every milestone and accomplishment.

If you have found links that would be helpful to other readers, please post them here or write to me and I will include them in the links section of the appropriate article.

There are new articles for Fall 2006 at the BellaOnline.com Special Needs Children website.

Remember to celebrate the opportunities and support our children find in their local schools and communities, no matter how stressful it is to try to improve their access and enhance their richness of experience or quality of life.

They are fortunate children to have loving advocates working on their behalf - advocates who also bravely attempt to scale Mount Laundry, plan meals, snacks, showers and haircuts, and cope with everything else that happens in a 24 hour day that always seems a few hours short of what we need.

I hope today is a great day!
