I just bought a lot of circular knitting needles from my local hospice thrift store. I don't see that there is a size imprinted on them like most needles. How can you tell what size you have????

You should be able to buy a needle sizing card at your local craft shop or knitting store. It has holes of various sizes, and the hole sizes can help you determine the needle sizes. What I don't know is whether you can mark the needle size on the needle, so that you don't need to check them on the card each time.

I use my sizing ruler all the time! I inherited a bunch of needles with the sizes worn off. It's one of those tools that never leave my knitting bag!
