Your screen name jumped out at me! Have you ever read The Lost Soul Companion by Susan M. Brackney?

A book that changed my life is I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was by Barbara Sher.

I'd been feeling the way YOU described - tho I was WAY older - but the creative questions she asks helped me feel like I woke up - I found what I wanted to do - and moved into that - and still use that book when I feel stuck...

would love to hear how things have gone since you first posted!

Karen, what a cool website and fantastic idea you have there at square-peg-people. I identified with it immediately! I agree about Barbara Sher--that book helped me brave leaving a day job I hated and going for what I wanted to do in my career life, and I'm so glad I did!

Yes, Kel, if you're lurking out there, we would love to know how you're doing. As you can see, there are many wonderful people here who wish you well.

Since you are a creative....a good place to start would be with any of Julia Cameron's books....they revitalized me at a time when I had lost my way.

One of my favorites is :

How to Avoid Making Art - by Julia Cameron

Thanks for the kudos about Square-Peg-People.com, Barbara.

I'm about to add another Barbara Sher book recommendation to the "What Does Everyone Do?" topic that is under this same heading...

Her books have changed my life!

Yes, Sher changed my life, too. I keep two of her books in my personal library.

I'll have to look at that Cameron book--I hadn't seen that one before. Thanks for the recommendation!
