Yesterday one of my hens laid a gigantic egg weighing 7 and a half ounces or 185gms! That's three times the size of a normal egg.
I'd heard that as hens get older they lay bigger eggs but this is daft - I'm half inclined to preserve it and then I want to see how many yolks it has.
Does anyone else have experience of this? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
