Hmmmm, can't say it's my style. And more than anything, it would freak me out to wear it lol.

All in all, I really don't care for it.

I love amber of all kinds, as long as the insects werent killed specifically for the amber. Also not to be mean but in having any kind of business online or otherwise professionality is key. 'spicemen' is actually spelled 'specimen'

Since I stopped wearing jewelry years ago (except for my wedding rings), I should probably shut up now. Live insects do not bother me, but dead ones gross me out. When I was little I played with insects, lizards and toads (no I am not a guy), but I prefer them in their live state. I did see a picture of someone with live lizards hanging from her earlobes, I would do that before I would wear dead things jewelry.

I'm afraid the dead larger animals and insects are a little much for my taste. Also, these appear not to be real amber - are they resin? One might get into trouble with groups like PETA for having a real lizard in one of these. A real lizard in natural amber would be very, very expensive.

Jewelryaddict,

Thanks for that additional info on the jewelry - it's very interesting! Pretty cool that the resin is biodegradable, too.

Huh? Interesting.
As said above, I have no problems with insects in real amber. Wearing my butterfly collection about my neck is a bit icky.

It's interesting about the biodegradale resin.

Instead of the real insects maybe you should try to get jewelry that is still exotic and unique but would appeal to a broader crowd.

I just saw a necklace in Shop Etc. Magazine which I love and just bought online:

Still exotic but no insects <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Will people never stop thinking of ways to use death as fashion?

I remember reading about how they used colorful bugs as jewelry like centuries ago. Not sure how they preserved those though.

The ones you have look cool, though creepy. The younger crowd might like it.

I do not like it. I do not think murder is cool. Even if some or most are made with insects that were found dead there are some that were made when they were alive. That makes me think of the poor animals stuck in keyrings in China; human beings are so sickening!

Gross. When you swat a fly you get rid of it. End of story. Not like I'd put together a fly bracelet. lol!

Yeah, I'm not up on insect or animal jewelry. I don't wear jewelry, most of the time. I used to show horses and it would just get in the way. But I do love the look of pretty things. I've even made a few necklaces.
