A few days before a very dear friend of mine passed away I dreamt of her. I dreamt that she showed me and my boyfriend a house that was For Sale By Owner (she and i worked together as Realtors) this house we (my boyfriend and I) ended up buying together.
Since her passing she has appeared in my dreams several times, and they have all been real estate related, which is strange cause I almost never dream of work.
Any ideas on what is going on here?

First, I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you were very close and this would explain why she may be visiting you in your dreams. If she passed suddenly, she may have had loose ends to tie up and may be asking for your help. Since you worked together, perhaps there's something she left unfinished that you could complete - or she has something she wants you to know about the job or your relationship. The dreamer is the best interpreter of the dream, so take a look at what's going on in waking life and try to apply the dream to it. If you are having these dreams regularly, it's very important to document them in your journal.
