The book is called The Herbal Almanac, written by Linda Ours Rago, pub. 1992. This is St. Finnian's Night, I do not know who that is, but I will check on it. The book says, for the day mentioned in the original question, if you go to bed without eating supper, the fairies will come and carry you away. I would ordinarily think this is fiction, but something happened in our life on this date, and when I read this, it really hit home. And up to the point I read this, we really thought what happened had religious significance. I still feel it does, but this blurb bothers me. The book is good, I bought it years before our lives were permanently altered by what happened. <img src="/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" />
