I am hoping we can get folks to read and discuss MHC's NIGHTTIME IS MY TIME. Readers should be able to get this paperback book quite easily. Just out in paper April 2005. Here is the publisher's synopsis:

From the "Queen of Suspense," Mary Higgins Clark, comes a riveting tale of suspense, secrets and revenge.
Historian Jean Sheridan returns to Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, excited about her twenty-year high-school reunion at Stonecroft Academy. But a dear friend of hers soon becomes the fifth woman in the class to meet a sudden, mysterious end. Then Jean receives a taunting fax about a child she gave up for adoption, whose existence she had kept a secret but whose life may now be in danger. For present at the reunion is The Owl, a murderer on a mission of vengeance against women who once humiliated him...and Jean is his final intended victim.

Any taker's? Jean? Hey friend how about you? Or do you have another suggestion?

Good! Last month when I read this book I can't tell you how anxious I was to talk about it. I was away for a long weekend and could not put it down. I kept sneaking it out of my purse to read a few pages.(LOL) For my money this is MHC best in a long time.

Just curious. Do you think that Sam the det. fell in love with Karen Sommers' mother over those 20 years of searching for Karen's killer?

Hey, buddy! Of course I'm in! I love Mary Higgins Clark. I'm always thrilled when Fox Family does one of her books as a movie.

I'll get to the library ASAP.

Heaven's to Betsy! I finished that book weeks ago!!! I have not problem reading a good book, it's getting to the forums that seem to be difficult for me.

Anyway, what an excellent book. Just my style. Whodunnit with lots and lots of suspects!!! Actually I thought I had figured out the mystery from a clue in the middle of the book. Karen had mentioned to one of the suspects that she had observed someone outside her window on the night in question. But, it was a wonderful red herring.

Actually, I did guess the correct culprit off and on throughout the book, and for the correct motive, but I wasn't sure.

I can't say anything more or else ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the book! If that is you, enjoy!

So what is our next book? (I love the reading part, but I do have difficulty with the forum part. I think it has something to do with being a shy, new girl in the 7th, 8th AND 9th grades when I was in school! Forums seem to bring back that insecurity. Does that sound like a good enough excuse? Hee hee!)
