I have a prayer request.

There are so many sites on the web that are dangerous; they can hurt people, our kids, our marriages.
Pray that Christian sites will become stronger and more widely visited and that people will benefit from them.
Pray that pornography will be prevented from entering our homes and hurting children and marriages.

I will pray for anyone or anything that needs a prayer. Prayer is the only thing that has helped me get through an extremely difficult situation for the past 2 1/2 years. Several years ago, I was overcome with the need to pray, everywhere, every day, while driving, all day, all night. Not for anything specific. I told my friends it was like I was praying for people that needed prayers, to a "prayer bank" and people that needed a prayer, there was one there for them. Several years later the difficult situation came into my life. Praying is the only thing keeping me strong.

Thank you firefly. Too many of us try everything else and use prayer as a last resort, when it should be the first place we turn.

I think that sometimes people think there is a formula to praying, that you must have a certain way or time to pray. I do have my quiet times to pray. But as Firefly stated "everywhere, every day" -- many times my prayer is simply one of thanks.

No-one has asked me about my signature, "Why me, what have I done to deserve this?"
It used to be a question I asked God all the time when things went wrong, then it hit me one day that I never deserved for such a perfect love as His, or a perfect grace, or for Him to gove His son as a sacrifice for me. So the entire statement is...Why me? What have I done to deserve this? How can I be worthy of this gift? It's part of my prayers, to remember to thank as well as beseech.

PS You mentioned help for those with trouble with porn & internet porn, there is a terrific Christian site our pastor told us about... www.xxxchurch.com No it is not a porn site, it is to help people get away from porn.
