I was washing my face tonite and noticed I have some big pores along my cheek bones! Does anyone know of any products or something i can make myself to reduce their size or is it just a natural thing. they don;t look real noticible unless you are right up in my face LOL

Yeah, I have the same problem. What works for me is the "Moisture Surge Extra Thirsty Skin Relief" from Clinique. There are so many products on the line for minimizing pores but I've found most of them make my skin feel tight. This one's focus is on moisture and not pore-minimizing but it does it. I have oily/combination skin. I was surprised. I don't use it all the time, just when I think my skin needs an extra boost. I put it on before bed and wake up to a whole new face.

It may come as a surprise to many, but astringents and products that dry the skin are not always what are needed for breakouts and enlarged pores. I find that moisturizers, even moisturizing soaps, like Dove, do a far better job than products that are meant to reduce oiliness. Even my 14-year-old was astonished to find that his break-outs disappeared overnight when I convinced him to use a moisturizer rather than a drying agent. Sure wish I had known this when I was younger and used to break out. Hydrate and don't obsess about it. Those pores may look big to you, but I bet they are _not_ the only thing other people notice about you! Mary Ellen

I had trouble with large pores until I started using MDForte. I have been using it for years and have noticed a marked decrease in pore size. It doesn't happen overnight though. You can obtain more info on their products at: http://www.mdforte.com/products.asp. However, after reading the posts, I think I will try the product M.E. mentioned so I can wake up "with a whole new face." :-)

I was using Swiss Formula Apricot Scrub for years but I had to stop using it because it started to sting my face a little every time I used it. I was using this cheap moisturizer from the dollar store but you get what you pay for. It left my face feeling greasy *yuck* Is the Clinque product very expensive?

I like my arbonne line, however the main ingredient in the toners is witchhazel. Nothing to drying, like everybody says, that just makes it work. There are so many natural things you can use, I never get around to buying the stuff or making it up so I use the next best thing.
I love my scrubs, but only use them a couple times a week, and don't actually "scrub" with them, just rub GENTLY and not for very long.

Scrubs are great for removing dead skin, which is something that we all have, and the nice, new skin is hiding under. I do think that many people, teens especially, tend to obsess about their externals to the point where they damage themselves with drying agents, scrubs, and acid-based cleansers. For Christmas last year, one of my sisters gave me this little scrub brush, very soft, of a type that she's been using for years. It works extremely well with a little gentle cleanser on it. My face is clear of blemishes and dead skin and feels great. No soap-induced tightness or splotches. I'm not bragging. Believe me, I'd be the first to admit if it didn't work. The other night when we were getting ready to go to a fancy concert I was peering into the makeup mirror and sighed, "Well, I guess I'm starting to look my age." From the other room came, "Well, Ma, you got a good run." One just cannot look their age while laughing! Of course, retractions were made all around when I came out dressed and etc. Tender ego well massaged. I wish the rest of me could be so easily repaired! Mary Ellen

When i started developing bad acne when i was a teen both my grandmas got me WitchHazel LOL It helped me tremendously. When ever anyone asks me about acne problems, i recommend witchhazel. i wonder if it will help my pores.... I will have to buy some more. I haven't used it in a while. And I like that it is so cheap. I can find it for like $1.50

Is the Clinque product very expensive? It is ($42 Can) but it lasts so long. A few drops spreads over a huge area. I do my whole face and neck with a pearl drop amount.

Try an at home glycolic peel. Glycolic solution exfoliates the skin and helps the pores to become smaller : )
