Don't endanger your family by using cleaning products with harmful chemicals in them, instead it is far better to pay just a little bit extra and get natural cleaning products.

It is thought that cleaning products can contribute to conditions such as asthma, especially in younger children that may be around the house when you are cleaning.

Washing powders, dishwasher detergents, window cleaners, the list goes on.

Did you know?

The government has very limited power to regulate and require proper testing.

Products that kill 50% of lab animals can still get designated as "non-toxic".

Of 17,000 household chemicals only about 5,100, or approximately 30%, have been adequately tested and less than 10% have been tested on the nervous system.
No law requires manufactures to list the exact ingredients on the package label.

Make the change now!
The best place I know to get products like these is Veriuni Store

you can make your own "Natural" cleansers with items that you already have in you pantry. Lemon juice, salt, baking soda, etc...... for non toxic cleaning

I just took a look at the web site linked in the opening post. It's for a marketing company that just happens to have a line of cleaning products, among many other unrelated things. AND after pointing out that most manufacturers don't list the product ingredients, I'd like to point out that the Veriuni people DON'T LIST THEIR INGREDIENTS EITHER!

I say two thumbs down to them.

I second what Theresa says, however, as I have used many of the items she suggests for cleaning. White vinegar is also a good home cleaner (great on bathroom mildew) and you can also use things like cinnamon if you have problems with ants, or bay leaves if you have trouble with roaches. Very non-toxic and they both smell good.

In addition to the above mentioned items, toothpaste, club soda, hydrogen peroxide, cream of tartar, distilled water, rubbing alcohol, egg white. And I read that Dr. Pepper makes an excellent toilet bowl cleaner, although previously I read "cola" works. Cornstarch, baby powder, olive oil, hair spray if anyone still uses it, carbonated water.
I hate chemicals.

Too, you can use essential oils.

firefly - just about any cola sort of soda will work as they are all acidic. Then again, so will tang.

between white vinegar and baking soda, you can clean almost anything. I also keep on hand pure bleach, pure ammonia and hydrogen pyroxide.

Any oil is good for removing stickers from hard-sided things bought at Goodwill, garage sales.

I like to use wood soap for cleaning wood, walls and floors.

Everyone knows not to mix bleach and ammonia, right? (toxic, deadly gas forms instantly).

I need to remember that the next time I crave a cola. My friend's secretary was cleaning her bathtub with (we think) bleach and ammonia and died in the bathtub. They said it was a heart attack but we think it was the combination of the two.
I use bleach sparingly, and do not buy ammonia. I am afraid I or someone else here will forget that very important info.
When I was younger, the car would not start and we looked under the hood. The car battery looked corroded so we poured on some cola, it fizzed up and took care of the corrosion and the car started!! That was 30 years ago and we tend to forget these things over time...

HI Firefly. If you have glass cleaner in your house, you have ammonia. Just a note to everyone to LOOK at ingredients before mixing.

As an example, if you are cleaning mirrors in the bathroom, that is NOT a good time to use bleach in there for the mold. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

http://www.toiletology.com/cleantoilets.shtml states:
Hoax Warnings
NAME: Cola-Cola hoax
The message below is a hoax:

Just when you thought you knew everything.... To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl. Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan; wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, And run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield. AND WE DRINK THIS STUFF! (FYI... the active ingredient in coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. it will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.) The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years! If you receive this message or something alike it please do not pass it on.
