Welcome Joygal, I totally agree with you. And the kids just love them.

I knit mostly clothing for my 9 month old girl. I can't devote my attention to a whole blanket . Easily distracted, you know. I just got a huge hardback book with nothing but knitting patterns (drool, slobber) and I'm using up my leftover yarn making squares. It may eventually become an ugly mismatched blanket. We'll see.

I'm going to be a Grandma in August and I'm hoping for a girl so I can dress her up but I'll take a boy too Honestly I'll be happy with either, my only wish is for it to be healthy.

I really like to knit things that are useful. My very first project was a pair of sox that turned out a little too bulky to fit in any shoes or boots that i own. Now I spend a lot of time knitting useful stuff, mostly shawls and scarfs. I usually get free patterns from Knit & Knot, although they haven't been very good about updating patterns lately. This weekend I started with a scarf, it's moving along quite well. Wish I knew how to post images b/c I would put some up for all to see.

well, knit and knot from the post above looks like a great site with lots of potential. Does anyone know when they are going to add more content. Is there a place where I can post some of my projects and get feedback on my knitting?

Have you tried doing a search for a free blog ? Or maybe check with you current isp (internet provider) and they may offer you so much free space or you can get your own domain and put up pictures.
