I knit mostly afghans, scarves, shawls, shrugs, and dog sweaters, and am currently working on socks. I would love to do a top-down sweater (or something like it with no seams), and one day will tackle little beaded bags.

Well, I knit a lot of scarves for the holidays this year, but generally I knit sweaters. I've knit one afghan in my life, a number of hats, some Christmas stockings, but the bulk of my knitting is sweaters. I'd like to try a top-down sweater, too. Or maybe side to side. And I want to learn how to do entrelac knitting, and to knit in the round with two pairs of circular needles.

So much knitting, so little time . . . .

Great, Now I know what you are interested in <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Our next project will be ssshhh a poncho made from the bottom up. It looks very complicated but it actually is very easy. Then after that we will certainly tackle the top down sweater. One word of warning, once you try the top down method, you won't be making a sweater any other way.

WOW Krisleon you are busy. Do you chart out all the motifs yourself or do you have a computer program to help ?

Welcome DearDuck, oh you got that right. Beads are just about as addicting as the yarn. Now you will buy beads and of course you will just have to have the matching thread and maybe some contrasting beads......see the list never ends.

I love to make baby sweaters & hats. They go real fast and I give them as gifts. I feel they have more meaning than buying something from store.
