Does your family have family reunions? About 12 years ago, my family started holding a yearly get-together in our local park. You can't belive how many nieces and nephews I have <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Ever since I can remember our family has been having a family reunion every 3rd sunday in July. Each year different people are in charge - blows my mind each year how many either come and you don't recognize any of them...or that not many come and it was all a waste. I guess I shouldn't say it was a waste because at least the ones that do come it is a "happy Gathering" and not one for a funeral etc.

I think the idea is great especially with some of the older family members who started the "reunion" are getting up there in age, and might not be around for too much longer.

I totally agree with you. My mom died just a year ago and I am so happy that we all were able to give her these special times. Mom was at her happiest when she had her family around her <img src="/images/graemlins/lovers.gif" alt="" />
