Hi folks! I am trying to identify a particular succulent from a description someone has given me. Apparently the edges of the leaves develop tiny baby plants which fall off into the compost and root themselves. Anyone heard of it or any idea of the name? Thanks!

I have to say Steve, MANY of my aloes reproduce this way and so does my spider plant (not a succulent at all), so you're going to have to add more details specific to your plant if we're going to help you figure out what it is.

If the leaves are serrated then it might be one of the kalanchoes. I used to have them years ago. It is a lighter green, maybe silver-greenish.

hey, my black prince does that too. the leave just sort of half fall off and half attach to the plant then the root come out and it eventually grow into another plant, you can also take one of leaves off, put it on the soil, then i'll grow

Hi, It happens to be a kalanchoe. You'd have to do a little more research to find exactly which on it is though.
