As background. Paul established the church of Ephesus in A.D. 53. He returned a year later and spent 3 years there preaching and teaching.
Ephesus was located on the western edge of Asia Minor (modern day Turkey)
Paul wrote this letter to the church while he was in prison in Rome, about A.D. 60.
I love the letters Paul wrote because it is so evident that he loved the people in the churches he has started. I believe that he prayed for all of them.
