Hi Ladies!

How are you? I wanted to see if there were any Christian scrappers/scrapbookers on this forum? Michelle McVaney is the editor for the scrapbooking section for Bella, and she has started Faithbooking challenges.

For those of you that have not heard about faithbooking, it is the philosophy of incorporating your faith into your scrapbooks.

We are commanded throughtout scripture to record the praiseworthy deeds and blessings so the next generation will know. . .. . This could be done thru journaling, how much more effective if it is done by scrapbooks?

We were reading Purpose Driven Life at my church (doing the 40 Days of Purpose that goes along with this book), and I kept running across this term. It then became evident to me what my purpose is!

I am VERY passionate about scrapping, and even teach it. How much more effective, tho, if we share God's faithfulness and works in our lives! WE can also do unintrusive witnessing thru our albums. People might try to refute the Bible, but they CANNOT refute your personal testimony!

It is so rewarding to be able to tell my kids while showing them, what God has done in our lives, ya know:)

Therefore, I would like to invite any scrappers over to the scrapping forum to participate in the faithbooking challenges. Also, feel free to post your testimony, articles or ideas that you have! The more the merrier!

I look forward to chatting with you soon!

Hugs:)

[color:"#666666"]I haven't heard of Faithbooking. Although, since I'm not a scrapbooker, that isn't unusual. It sounds great. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I did my "do it yourself" scrapbooking 20 to 25 years ago when my daughter was young. I made up and created all my own stuff. (Guess I should have manufactured it and become rich!) [/color]

I love this idea...I think we should take it one step farther and create a faithbook with evidence of Christs work in our lives...you know...take something and save it because it reminds us of Christ's influence in that particular moment...what do you think?

I do digital scrapbooks. Just finished one in fact. I do them for profit for folks who pay me to set their stuff up in that manner. The last one I completed was a graduation gift and I was paid $300 for it.

As far as putting our "faith" in our scrabooking...that is a good idea I suppose..but not for me...not in that manner. I try my best to LIVE my faith...in everything..the way I park at the grocery store...the way I treat a neighbor who is sick...the way I treat my family when no one else is looking. All of this speaks very loud messages in very quiet ways to the watching eyes of my child. While faith scrapbooks sound like a wonderful idea...never forget that we don't have to leave a "literal" message for others to see... we can also leave a record of our lives for them to know.

Happy scrapping to everyone. -Jenny.

You're right Jenny. The way we live our life is much more visible than a scrapbook.
