Brewers are producing more low carb beer by the moment - some is quite tasty, others are bland. Which brands would you recommend (or not) and why?

I had a verbal vote for Coors Light from a true fan. She talked about the wonders of this light brew for half-an-hour!

Amstel Light got a thumbs up, too.

My husband's favorite is Michelob Ultra but he says Aspen is pretty good, too. He would rather drink beer than anything else.

Why, thank you, Bleep. It's a good name that you've got there!

Hey, Babyquacker!

Q. How are a barbecue grill and a "Bleep" alike?

A. They both get put out after the roast!

I love Aspen, too! The great thing about drinking beer is that it always seems to be associated with good times and great people! It's no surprise that your man loves drinking beer!

Cheers back at you, Dragonfly! I just noticed that the post by Bleep was gone...I guess it really was "put out" after the roast  or was there ever really a weird post by Bleep that just disappeared? Who was being roasted? Is Aspen about the same price as Mich Ultra where you live? It's amazing that the more they take out, the more it costs!

Aspen is a little pricier, but not much.
I think it takes more tweaking to get it to taste good when the carbs are removed, and so the price goes up. Of course, some lo-carbs taste like water, and should be cheaper. Know what I'm saying?

Yeah, it's about the same here. Aspen is a lttle pricier but truthfully, Dragonfly, my husband just prefers Michelob Ultra, so the cost doesn't matter. I know that the more they process something the more the cost goes up...like decaf coffee...something else I don't drink but buy for my mother. As far as taste of some lo-carbs, they ARE so bad that they are not even AS GOOD as water! LOL Or so my husband says.

I tried Amstel Light over the weekend. Tasted like water with a weird aftertaste. Just not my taste, I guess!

I think Amstel is the best of them, but that isn't saying much. I will drink light beer but if I'm drinking, I have just come to accept that I'm taking in a fair amount of carbs.
