Seeing as my birthday is April 21st, I'm an Aries/Taurus cusp.

Hi Sarah!

I just LOVE your topic site! I am a great traveler and in fact will be doing some more European travel in the next three months.

Now, about your Sun sign, it tells me that at heart, the very basic part of you, you are serious, hardworking, perhaps work behind the scenes, can be prone to depression, and may have some strong yet latent Cancerian energy that makes you very child oriented. You are basically a steady person....and *raises eyebrows* the sexual secret of the zodiac. Perhaps you also need to focus on the BALANCE between work/paper and play/people.

But you most do not have a Capricorn Ascendant and so how you present yourself to me, to strangers to people outside your family, is more representative of that sign. Perhaps your Ascendant is fiery Leo or Sagittarius .

Ever had your natal chart calculated? Or your chart interpreted? Astrodienst has a free service for chart calculations and some basic interpretations. But if you are really interested, get an astrologer to talk with you via phone or in person and do a full consultation.

Hello Wendy!

Which is it? Are you an Aries or a Taurus? Make sure you get your chart calculated too, using your time of birth, so you can know exactly what sign the Sun was in when you were born, and tehrefore your basic personality. I will also recommend Astrodienst to you!

ahh...technically, according to my chart I am a Taurean, but that doesn't mean that I don't read both and allocate appropriately to my betterment

Very interesting. It seems to me that you are right on the mark! And my husband agrees! This is all very new to me. Please explain what a "natal chart" is. I think I will check out your suggestion at Astrodienst.

Where will you be visiting in Europe?

Barrett,

I am a Taurus - May 5 - and I HAVE had some "significant life situations" in the past year - but how did you know that Taurus would have those? I wish I had kept up and had been forewarned!

Hi Vannie!

Pisces! Oh so you have had LOTS of changes going on in the last two years! But your Taurus Moon would tell me that you still take your time about reacting to the changes the Universe is demanding of you. Is that true for you?

Barret, you are very much on target. In the last two years after a long illness my mom died, shortly after my best friend died. Very bad times. It was two years ago that I made a decision to retire. I retired as of Januaray 31, 2005 from my corporate job to do the things I love

I do appreciate my Taurus moon, I think it helps to keep me balanced. My mom used to worry that I would run off with a circus or somthing similar.

Feb. 11 Aquarius In spite of my sign, I do not like to be on the water, but the sea fascinates me. I love stories and movies of ships, and the traditions and jargon of the seas and the navy capture my interest. In an hour and a half "Happy Birthday to me." Born 6 AM in a snow storm. Maybe that's why I love the snow and was in my glory in the blizzard of 1966. Pretty darned cold here tonight in Florida, too.

Happy, happy, happy joyous birthday to YOU!!!!

You know, Aquarius is an Air sign, not a water sign. It is more about electricity/lightning such rather than oceans. It is the mind, the intellect, and humanitarianism. Do those things ring true for you??

Hope it warms up for you a bit.

Heehee I liked Puddy. Hmmm he even seemed a bit Aquarian.

Heehee my Pisces sibling once ran off with the circus...well more like the carnival. I hear it can be an enriching experience even though very bizarre.

Are you feeling okay with your changes? Do you mind saying what it is that you will do that you LOVE? Are you around 50?

re: your sibling. Awesome I am feeling fabulous with my changes. I was given a farewell party Thurs. Feb. 10--I was truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of love (and gifts ). In true Pisces fashion, I cried like a baby.

Barrett I love reading and writing, it's my reason for being an editor here. I am an entrepreneur at heart so I built a web site titled Spices Plus Biz E-Zine for Women around my Watkins home business about 2-1/2 years ago. I am looking forward to really getting this off the ground. Also, I love the arts, but theater is my absolute passion so I will become more involved with our local performing arts center. And I can become more involved in elder advocacy. Right now I have 94 year old senior (called client by the advocates) whom I see several times a month. I help her with bill paying, telephone calls, etc. She has become family to me.

You can see I love all of this, I can't seem to stop typing. Yes mam, I am past 50 and have turned into one of those women who go 'down the Jersey Shore' to relax

It would say that you have an adventurous and optimistic spirit! You can also say things without thinking through the consequences first, and you may have a love of law, philosophy, travel and/or foreign languages and cultures

No need to feel silly! Has this last year been a bit challenging for you - perhaps urging you to be more decisive or less impulsive? The eclipses in Aries/Libra are calling YOUR name!

last year was challenging in that there was alot to overcome and a lot to let go of. not so much in the impulsive/decisive department.

Well I am glad that was somewhat accurate for you. Your entire chart will reveal more of who you are.

I cannot give you a free astrology consultation on this message board. Of course I can answer short questions people ask; however it takes time to interpret your chart and because I am a professional I do charge for my time etc. I hope you understand. Also what you are asking is for predictive astrology, and how I always work with my clients is by first doing their natal chart, then after they have had time to let that sink in (understanding who they basiclly are), then I will do a consultation on their progressed/transit chart.

It is entirely possible (wink, wink) that I will soon be getting paid to write a syndicated astrology column, and that time I will be glad to let Bella readers know where it is so they can submit questions.

You are, by the way, in your Lovers Year (Tarot).......relationships will arise prominently and perhaps one love relationship in particular, balancing yourself is important.

Well please keep your spiritual eyes and ears open because what occurred last year is not yet over. The eclipses are coming around again once we move into Aries and you will find more of the same. I know it can be frustrating!

I also connect the years with the Tarot, and I recall that when I was in my Hanged Man Years I felt almost outraged at the amount of things I was forced to release. Just when I thought I had stopped every possible practice, attitude and sold/given away every possible material thing in order to achieve getting a new perspective, Spirit demanded MORE!!! But of course in the end it was a marvelous spiritual lesson and year for which I am grateful. I have slimmed down in SO many ways and I am so much more FREE which is what I innately desire anway.

You are in your Hermit Year and you will need to draw within, meditate on ways in which you can better serve yourself and others. And Virgo people will be important to you, be a guide to you.

It's interesting that you say that. I had my chart done in 1980. At the time I went through the whole document and made comments next to certain paragraphs. I have done that through the years--I have some paragraphs with NO!!! 1980 , Maybe? 1986 , Yes! 1990 all for the same statement. (LOL)

OK. Sag sun. progressed into Aquarius. Libra moon, (progressed into virgo sitting right on top of the sun of two of my children and between my husband's sun and saturn in virgo (natal) capricorn ascendant (progressed into aries, I think), natal mercury, venus in scorpio conjunct M.C. with saturn in scorpio in 9th. Jupiter in Gemini trine moon, mars, and neptune in libra in the 8th. Pluto in leo in 7th. (sextile all that air both directions) Pisces on 2nd cusp, with uranus hanging around there in transit. Natal Uranus in cancer trine the scorpio MC planets (saturn is just kinda loose there, wide conjunct to moon in late libra). I am at a real turning point in my life and just on the edge of some really BIG changes. My health and timing of other events are the two biggest pitfalls I see........(uranus in 6th with saturn lingering over it - you told me to slow down immediately and you were wise to tell me that. I'm trying!!!!!) By the way, with uranus in my 6th, I've had a very unusual and interesting work history! But, I usually got restless, moved on, and longest worked in one place was 3 years until we started our own family business. BUT NOW I AM SO RESTLESS AGAIN!

Sun sign is Gemini (3rd House), Virgo Moon (7th house), and Pisces Ascendant.... venus/mars both in Taurus (2nd House), along with Chiron in Taurus. Whenever I reveal my information, people are either delighted or horrified, LOL.

I have tried to learn this stuff, but I just don't grasp it, probably not enough time to just let it soak in.

I am able to remember that I am aquarian (feb 6) with cancer rising.

I have a doozy for ya, what does this tell you about me.....I am a virgo (september 5), my ascendent is in libra and my moon well this is when it gets tricky. I was born right when aquarius was changing to pisces....I have read both moon in aquarius and moon in pisces and they both pertain to me. Figure that out LOL

Virgo here, with Virgo rising and five planets in Virgo. I'm going through a Saturn return at the moment, actually for a bit now and I've still got a good chunk to go.

How do I find out my Sun sign? I had my natal report done several years ago and do not understand anything. The only thing I know is I am an Aries, and in the circle divided into 12 sections, 5 of them are empty. Does this require a smiling icon or a head banging icon?

Aries would be your sun sign.
each section refers to another different sign, planet of house. depending upon how your chart was made.

on a side note Im an aries/taurus cusp born Apr 21st.

Thank you, Wendy Tall One. I thought that was the answer, but the more I tried to read my book (pub. 1928), the more confused I became. I will get a new book, one that comes without decades of dust!

In regards to your birth time I would just 'guesstimate' it. average the time your parents give, mom says 130 pm dad says 3 pm...use 215 or something like that.

Cusps are usually the 3 days on either side of the date change so You are probably a first leo. Which means that you were born in the first week of leo.

I'm Libra, with Aries rising. I also apparently have an unaspected moon - would anyone have any idea what that's supposed to signify?

thank you Jane

Your sun sign (aka, your star sign) is the sign in which the sun was when you were born - the sun was in Aquarius on January 31.

Your moon sign is the sign in which the moon was when you were born. The moon changes signs more frequently than the sun, so this would depend on your time and place of birth.

Donna, or someone with more knowledge of this, would have to jump in now to explain what effect the position of the moon has on your personality and horoscope. All I remember is that it slightly modifies your star sign attributes.

I have several of those "gi-normous" books myself. It all started blending together after awhile. Then again, I'm not the most patient sort. I'm afraid I'm an Aries with Aries repeated throughout my chart. My only saving grace is the moon in Pisces. (I'm just an overly emotional warrior. I can shoot you with no hesitation, but at least I'll cry for you after... LOL ) Did the Chinese astrology also and found out that had I been born in ancient China with my chart I'd have likely been drowned (I'm the worst sort of horse.)

What I found really fascinating was that the women in my family are all (three generations at least) born under fire signs (mostly Aries). We're not a quiet, meek bunch by any stretch.

I found some very interesting astrology software, sounded very simple, I could point and click my way to anything! Haha I uninstalled it after just a few minutes, it was WAY over my head! Maybe another year. One of my sisters and I are a lot alike, and after checking into it, we are both Aries with Pisces ascendents.

Sun, Moon and ascendant all in Pisces - apparently! I was born around 7.17am on the 20th February 1939

Does anyone know if those calculations are correct? I had it worked out by a friend because I couldn't figure it out myself from one of those 'book's mentioned!!!

I typed in "astrodienst" and put in birth info, and got free chart wheels for myself and the siblings. Seems like they had free horoscopes also. I have used astrology.com to get sample readings, these give you a little bit to think about, with the option of buying a full report. I gave my 16 year old nephew a natal report when he was visiting last summer; it was fun! and according to the report he may have helped build Stonehenge.

Did you get a report, or just the chart wheel? The natal report (or one of those reports) is free, and will tell you what each part of the chart wheels mean. I will dig mine out and look through mine to see exactly what I got, I know it was free. Did you check out astrology.com?

There are different kinds of reports you can click on. I forgot to check last night when I got home, so I am writing myself a note to look tonight and then get back to you.

I came across the birth charts for my husband and myself that I got from http://astro-software.com. It is free, and includes the chart wheel, and then lists and explains all the different stuff. I do not know the correct terms for these things. And I do not understand most of the astrology stuff. But...this is pretty basic, and you can click on "compare to another person"! All total it came to about 13 pages. Check it out!
