You raise a good point almond. The influence and impact of the media and personal experiences in jury decision-making.

I understand that some people consider the media had already convicted Peterson before he entered a court.

Is it ever really possible to make a fair and impartial decision when you serve on a jury? What are your thoughts?

Yes I believe it is possible. When a judge instructs the jury, it is the responsibilty of the jury to follow those instructions. As a juror, in a murder case, you are holding someone's life in your hands. A juror must come to a just decision with no outside influences etc.

Absolutely! Well said.

The verdict was based on media frenzy, emotions and hatred for a cheating husband.
But as you say, in this case, people could certainly argue that the decision was based on hatred for a cheating husband and media influences. Do you believe the jury reached a just decision in this particular case without outside influences?
