What is the name of the American comedy that Alfred Hitchcock made?

Alfred Hitchcock made one comedy Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It stars Robert Montgomery and Carole Lombard.

I could not remember if this old black and white comedy was made in 1941 or 1942. It was '42 so I went to Amazon to check it out. I found an old Mr. and Mrs. Smith review that I did earlier.

Carolyn,

You did it. Congratulations.

Yes the Hitchcock movie was Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

But, the B/W movie with technicolor was "The Women". This is such a great movie. I know that you would love it. The color scene is a fashion show. It really is spectacular and fun.

PBS has shown a series of Tony Hillerman TV mystery movies based on his Jim Chee novels. All were very good and I highly recommend watching them. I first met the author, Dick Francis, thru his Mystery Theatre movies on PBS; as well.

I have enjoyed the Hillerman shows as well. PBS continues to have a really great mystery series lineup.

I originally started reading mysteries again based solely on the PBS series(Dick Francis and Lovejoy) and am eagerly anticipating their return IF they EVER quit begging for money and go back to what I pay to see...sigh...I sure am cranky today, oh well...

I am a fan of Tony Hillerman. Great reading. I know that there have been movies on PBS but I always miss them. I may have to search out the DVD's.

I missed the Dick Frances movies whose novels I love. Was fortunate to see Hostage. I agree with Vannie's view on the character's tears. You understand his fears and desperation. Keep up the great reviews.
