Thanks for the valuable information. I'm amazed at the number of math teachers who have never heard of dyscalculia.

Where can i review all of the postings on Dyscalculia.
BTW there is a published test protocol called the Dyscalculia Screener which is authored by Dr. Brian Butterworth of England

HEY I'M NEW AND I HAVE A 1O YR OLD SON THAT I BELIEVE MAY HAVE DYSCALCULIA. WHEN HE WAS 9 HE WAS TESTED FOR DYSLEXIA WITH A NEGATIVE RESULT ON THE TESTING BUT THE DR. INDICATED THAT SHE BELIEVED HE COULD ALSO HAVE DYSCALCULIA. PROBLEM IS NOONE IN ALABAMA SHE SAID TESTS FOR THAT. I NEED HELP TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE, HOPEFULLY A STATE CLOSE BY, THAT CAN ADMINISTER THIS TEST FOR HIM.

i recieved an email yesterday from dr. mcclean. although he can't help me he is forwarding my email to two people. dr. patti harrison, program coordinator of school pyschology and dr. allen wilcoxon, program coordinator of counselor education, both at the university of alabama. thanks again for your help.
