I just posted a review of last night's Golden Globes ceremony along with the list of winners.

Did the winners mirror your choices? Anyone who didn't win that you think should have?

I loved that Lord of the Rings and Peter Jackson finally received recognition for the excellent Return of the King. I also feel Renee Zellweger got rewarded for a great performance.

I would have liked to see Johnny Depp win for Best Comedic actor, but I think Murray's more subtle performance was more in line with the usual picks in this category.

I didn't get why there were no acting nominations for LOTR -- I thought that part was really well-done, esp. Vigo Mortensen as supporting actor.
Also -- why wasn't Matrix even mentioned? Wasn't it like the biggest thing?

I thoroughly agree that Mortensen, along with Elijah Wood and Sean Astin should have been nominated for their outstanding work in this film. =)

However the Hollywood Foreign Press has traditionally favored more traditional dramatic roles for their nominations over the years. So while I hate the omissions, it's not entirely unexpected.
