Hmmm, ok I cheated. First, I plugged in Marian's postal code but I quickly realized that it was giving me west coast birds to try to ID!!! Haha <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Next, I plugged in Karen's postal code, figuring NY is almost Ontario (northeast coast, right?)

Well, I got 2 out of 5 right on both songbirds and all birds.

Wouldn't you know it, the only one I truly knew for sure was the silly old mall bird, aka the seagull!!

Time to crack the old bird books..... <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I got three out of 5 correct on the all birds. They were pretty tricky in putting two or three birds from similar species at the same time. Like Pacific Loon and Common Loon. Sheesh, they sound so much a like. I'll have to try my ears at the song birds later. I'm off to class.....

I got 4 out of 5 correct when I took the "All Birds" challenge, but only 2 out of 5 when I limited myself to "Songbirds". I would have predicted those results to have been reversed, but in defense of myself, most of the songbirds presented were not songbirds I've ever seen or heard in my own backyard.

Leeequi, always one to make excuses <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
