HOW MANY DOGS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB?

Golden Retriever: The sun is shining. The day is young. We've got our whole lives ahead of us. And you're inside worrying about a stupid, burned-out light bulb?

Border Collie: Just one. Not only that, but I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.

Dachshund: I can't reach the stupid lamp!

German Shepherd:No. You told me to sit.

Toy Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.

Rottweiler: You can bring a new lightbulb in, but you are NOT going to take any lightbulbs or any of my other toys out of this room. Ever.

Shi-tzu: Puh-leeze, dah-ling. What are servants for?

Lab:Oh, me, me!!! Pleeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Can I?

Malamute: Let the Border collie do it. You can feed me while he's busy.

Doberman Pinscher: While it's dark, I'm going to sleep on the couch.

Mastiff: Mastiffs are NOT afraid of the dark.

Hound Dog: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.Yo quiero Taco Bulb.Yo quiero Taco Bulb.Yo quiero Taco Bulb.Yo quiero Taco Bulb.

Pointer: I see it, there it is, right there...

Greyhound: It isn't moving. I don't see it.

Australian Shepherd: Put all the light bulbs in a little circle...

Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? Light bulb? That thing I just ate was a light bulb?

Leequi, that was pretty funny. I liked the toy poodle and Shi-tzu the best. Mostly because I am jealous that they can get away with such nonsense. If this was about the people in my household...

DH - We need to change the light bulb. Two days later-We need to change the light bulb. A week later-We need to change the light bulb.

DS - Is is getting darker in here?

Me - Thinking, "Light bulb burned out, I have spares in the closet. Get the spare, change the light bulb. NO ONE else notices the light bulb has been burned out or changed.

Just another example of the little things we do everyday that our families are unaware of and/or take for granted.

That was great. We need something about dogs to laugh at. We've had plenty of bad dog news lately. I love the hound's response and, of course, the border collie's.

Rose--In my household I confess that I'm not the designated lightbulb changer. Of course my good excuse is that often I can't reach the socket whereas dh can usually do so easily, or at least more easily than I. There are, however, quite a few other little things I do on an everyday basis that seem to be taken for granted--such things as the scooping of kitty litter boxes, making sure there is always toilet paper on hand, and the loading, running and unloading of the dishwasher so we always have clean plates to eat from.

Lois--I agree that it was time to have something about dogs we could laugh at. There certainly has been plenty of bad dog news recently. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

It may be an "oldie", Shelley, but it's not one I recall seeing before. I find your list of doggie humo(u)r to be good for a few more smiles (or groans).

Too cute, Shelley. I had never heard that before so it was new to me. I have several dog enthusiast friends that I'm copying both of these humorous posts to. Thanks for the smiles.
