The only wildlife that I've seen in the past few days are Gray Jays and a squirrel. But, then if I got out of the house a little bit, I might see more.

Rose? Lost?! Naaah, not very likely! More likely is that she's having an adventure along the way, probably spotted an elusive Indigo Bunting or Cedar Waxwing, or maybe she's chasing moose off the lawn or checking out those tracks in the yard....Hey, ALL critters -- human and otherwise -- are welcome here!! How can one get lost if they don't leave the house? I have been trying for two days to "clean". Somehow the world is stacked against me. Interuptions, broken vacuum, lost tools. I swear the two men in this house plot to drive me batty.

So today I left the house. Spent $300 on a new vacuum cleaner, watched a few sea gulls, bought some marine varnish to finish sealing the new cane I put on our canoe seats, and will get this house clean even if it means missing "7th Heaven".

This has been my adventure for the last 48 hours.
