The summer solstice, also known as midsummer eve, is coming up this next weekend. Celebrations for the longest day of the year happen in nearly every culture world-wide. This year it looks like I'll be taking in a solstice parade in the Seattle area.

Having arrived in Seattle a few days ago, I've learned I will be attending the Fremont Solstice Parade. Apparently the participation of cyclists wearing naught but bodypaint is one of the highlights and controversies of this event, and I'm looking forward to seeing this for myself....
