What is Virgin Parchment paper? Is this something that you make or craft? Can parchment paper be purchased ?

Virgin parchment is a term that refers to a paper or card that has never been used before and has been blessed for ritual purposes. Sacred texts or magic spells could then be inscribed on the parchment.

Historically, parchment was made from animal skin and there was a complex ritual to bless and kill the animal, then prepare the skin. Most modern pagans are not that traditional in their parchments.

I suggest you select a paper or modern parchment that you like and bless and use that.

Whoa ! That's pretty deep . "bless and kill the animal, then prepare the skin". To make paper. We've come along way in many, many ways.
I take it memo or stationery paper may be used. As long as it is blessed.

The main point seems to be that the paper was not used for anything else. For instance, I would not tear a blank sheet from a pad I used for everyday notes, even though that sheet had not been used yet, as the pad was already being used for phone messages, shopping lists, etc.

I've known of some people who got a special blank book and wrote spells and workings in them. That might do well, if you aren't required to burn the paper at the end of whatever ritual you are doing. also, a nice stationary that had a color that was significant to you or the magick would be nice.

Thinking of the terms "Book of Whatever" and "Journal",I have a pretty good gist of parchment now. The paper is used solely for one purpose regardless to it's binding. That makes sense, to avoid any negative influence that may be lurking .
Thanks

Parchment style printer paper comes something like 500 sheets per pack at places like office depot. I do however keep notebooks and sketchpads on hand for when I am working on creating sigils, and then transfer them over to the parchment.
