Well, I once encountered a person who could not tolerate smells and she had some kind of environmental disease where her system was overwhelmed. Perfumes, for example, really bothered her. Other than a biological reason like an allergy or a highly sensitive system, I don't know why a person would hate
all smells.
I have a very, very sharp sniffer on me. I've often joked that I could work in the perfume industry making up scents. When I smell a perfume, I can usually sort out several scents that make it up. Sometimes, I talk to the ladies at the perfume counter to see if I can guess what's in it. I'm usually right.
So I have a very sensitive sniffer, and can't stand smells like cigarette smoke. It makes me nauseous. Personally, I think cigarettes should be banned in all public places!
I love so many scents...it's hard to just pick a few! Coffee, cinnamon, pumpkin, peppermint, cocoa, fresh air on a Spring day, grass, flowers, my son's neck ...I love far more many smells than I dislike!
I believe I smelled patchouli once in a store, and wasn't big on it. Incense tends to be too overpowering to me, and I can't handle it. My husband likes it, though.
Any other scents you like? And, do you know someone that hates
all smells?
