You're most welcome, Kati! It wasn't a "reading" I gave you, though. The first Cube book has a "Vocubulary" in the back, and the second book, The Secrets of the Cube is an in-depth overview of Cube shapes, positions, colors, and a ton of other information on the Cube, the ladder, the horse, the desert, the flowers, and the storm.

Jessica

Sloping dunes...again, sensuality. Depending on how you view the desrt, that's pretty much how you view life.

The main key words for stone are substantial, reliable, principled, stubborn, conservative. It could mean loyal, devoted, dependable, dogged, thorough, steady, someone you can count on, patient, supportive. It could also mean obsessive, slow to adapt to change, self-willed, habit bound, or in a rut.

The colors/designs of the Cube can have personal connotations, too. Gray can mean conservativism, age, or resignation. The Celtic designs could put a different spin on that, though.

Regarding the ladder, wood can mean many things like warm, loyal, comfortable, bonds with teammates, etc. It could also mean schmoozes on the job, a sucker for hard luck stories, overly tolerant, easiliy hurt, among other things. Many times the symbols we come up with have meanings that are unique to us. For example, would the fact that the Native Americans use that kind of ladder say anything to you about your friends? Do you consider yourself as a part of a "tribe", for example?

Horse: The color black: romantic passion. A dark haired or dark complected lover. Someone who has "black moods" and/or whom you share a powerful, romantic sexual bond (which always involves elements of night and mystery). From the book Flying/Pegasus: Key word: transport. You lover "takes you away" into a realm of magical happiness. This is often someone you're newly in love with, or feel is the person of your dreams. (But it could also be someone who's literally up in the air. One man's "flying" lover was a flight attendant, and another's wife was on her way across country on the red-eye when he got cubed.

Storm: Rain: Key words: sadness, grief, discouragement. It suggests tears, but also has a sense of "don't rain on my parade" and "dampening ones spirits". Since it's moving away, you may see a "storm" moving out of your life.

Flowers: Wildflowers indicates spontaneity and freedom. Were the flowers NOT in the mane scattered, in patches...? Could you elaborate? In the mane may indicate somehow involved or connected to the horse.

WhiteFox I'll post my cube soon! I have it on my other computer, but I have the printout. I just have to type by hand, is all.

Lisa

Black slab from 2001: Key word: transformer. Someone whose ideas or inventions advance human evolution.

Ladder: There is no mention of friends being "used" in accordance with the Cube game. Friends can be mentors, co-workers, and other associates, as well. Each symbol is picked for a reason, and the unique choice of each is, ultimately, known and discovered by the "seer". Reading the books may provide more answers, though. If you thought of the ladder as God, then perhaps you see God as your friend.

If your ladder was independent of the cube, you may see friends as "Stand by me...but on your own two feet." Taller than the Cube can mean "friends in high places".

Horse: It seems to me you have that one covered, already.

Thunderstorm: Key words: conflict, anger. From Secrets of the Cube "Thunder is an argument that turns to shouting; it's open conflict between people, whether it involves you or is merely within earshot. When you hear the disgruntled grumbling of thunder without lightning, often its bark is worse than its bite, and it's 'full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.' Perhaps there's someone in your environment who yells a lot, or maybe you're the one who is angry."

Flowers: In patches: Key words: eclectic, dabbler

From the same book "Flowers growing in separate beds or patches belong to someone with many different and distinct interests."

Hope you all found this fun and insightful! The books are absolutely wonderful. The more detailed you can remember your scene, the more yield you get description wise.

Will be back later to post my Cube and some interesting aspects...

Janet

oh my word..... wow...

Okay I just ahve to write my response to this...

sand dunes = sensuality (well come on, just look at my art people!)

Stone = stubborn (among other things) heuy, I'm a taurus lol!

wood/native american = tribe of friends, yep we are the only real family any of us have. and my few family members I like are my best friends as well.

Horse, this is where it gets creepy... my husband has black hair, and as far as I am concerned is my soul mate (sounds cheesy but true) we've been together five years now.... he's newly a truck driver, so he's away a lot.

The flowers were in two places, some where in the mane of the stallion, the rest were blossoming on the ground right behind the rain storm. Ever see fantasia 2000? The end piece has a dryad as a rainstorm (odd I know) and behind her the forest regrows after terrible destruction... kind of like that.

Isn't that cool, Jessica?!

Hopefully, I'll get around to posting mine and the fascinating real life parallels soon. I have an article to type up, and other "housekeeping" to do, so I'll try to get to it later or tomally.

LOL I'm sorry, when I called it a "reading" I did so only because I couldn't think of any other way to term it. I guess, upon further thought, I should have termed it a translation, but that word just wasn't "coming" to me that day. *grin*

Ah well, that's what I get for having kids, my brain stays in bed while my body goes about my daily duties. LOL

Hehehe. I could have done a "reading", but thought I'd leave it to the glossary in the back of the books in case intuitive readings/psychic stuff scare some people.

That's cute about your kids. <smile> How many do you have?

OK, here's my Cube...

I first did the Cube about 6 years ago. The first time was about 7 months after my first husband died. (I Cubed myself 3 years ago, and the objects changed slightly...much to my surprise.)

The Desert

(The same both times, and even now) Perfect day. Blue sky, white clouds, beautiful flowing dunes...not very hight. My desert isn't hot, though; it's a very comfortable 75 degrees.

My Cube

My Cube is a beautiful royal blue, the color of a bluejay. It's translucent, reflects the sun brilliantly, and floats about 4 1/2 feet off the ground. It's an unknown material, but crystal-like. It can be chipped, but not destroyed. It is above the horizon, and about 20 feet away from me. My Cube looks bigger from a distance, but up close, the sides are about 2 feet square. It is very calming to look at. It draws you to itself.

The Ladder

It is lying flat on the ground. The wood is weathered and paint spattered. It only has about 4 rungs, and one of them is broken. (Interesting note: A ladder laying on its side signifies dead or "good for nothing", etc. It described my husband--dead--who was my best friend, as well as the friends who abandoned us when he got sick. Amazing!)

The horse I couldn't see a horse. I tried and tried. (Again, indicative of my husband dying.) Finally, one entered the scene from the left. It was a brown thoroughbred with a black man. It was beautiful, had no saddle or bridle, and just stood by me as if waiting for something. (The unusual thing is...a few months after I Cubed myself, I met my present husband. He just suddenly "entered the picture" as one of my students in a Young Adult/College Sunday School Class.)

The Storm

Way off in the horizon. Not affecting the scene at all. (No wonder...I had just experienced the biggest "storm" of my life a few months earlier!)

The Flowers Small, scattered, maybe about 100 or so. (This made sense since I didn't have any kids of my own, at the time...and my "kids" were my clients and projects.)

Around 3 years ago, the ladder changed somewhat. It was now leaning against the Cube. Most of the rungs were below the Cube, and the Cube floated higher in the air...maybe 6 feet. The top rung was just below the top of the Cube, with the side rails about 3 inches above it.

The horse was the same, but he was licking the Cube like he was thirsty; he is nourished by the "liquid" that the Cube is providing. He is very calm and stands beside the Cube.

All of a sudden, a torrential rain storm erupts right above us. It further "melts" the Cube, but it is not diminished in any way. I am soaked, and so is the horse. Everything is dark, and you can't see very far at all.

As soon as I tried to visualize the flowers, the storm suddenly disappeared. We were dry again. It was as if the storm had never occurred. I saw only one flower: a bright red flower about 2 feet tall...a poppy...directly under the Cube.

I have only 1 child, a son and the "tears"/emotional stuff represented in the storm probably had to do with some of the difficulities I had with my son as a toddler, and his subsequent diagnosis of Autism. Yet, everything turned out OK, just like in real life.

About my husband: I cubed him when were just friends, but was possibly heading in a romantic direction. It was hilarious when he got to the horse part, because when he started describing it, it was as if he were describing me! I had a hard time keeping my cool, to say the least. LOL A large, white horse...it is NOT to be ridden, etc. When I looked up the definitions, I was amazed. Everything was so accurate. Also, my husband has the exact same cube, except his is a little smaller, and has a small, hollowed out center...as if it's been sandblasted. His intersects the horizon, while mine floats about it.

(PS, thanks for asking White Fox. )

Janet ~

Thanks for sharing your cube with us! Makes me even more eager to find out who that stallion in mine might represent! I know it isn't anyone I know at the moment...at least, I don't think so! Ah, well...time will tell...or maybe not. Could just be my vision of what a man in my life should be like, eh? Maybe too good to be true? Anyway, it's fun to speculate!
