If you haven't been cubed yet, go to the other thread to do so! Once you know the secret, please keep it!

The cube is you.

The ladder is your friends.

The horse is your lover. (Or ideal lover)

The storm is trouble.

The flowers are children. (Or projects)

Feel free to share your results! I have both the The Cube: Keep the Secret book, as well as the follow up book Secrets of the Cube: The Ancient Visualization Tool That Reveals Your True Self. There are meanings of the different elements in both books. I'll be glad to take a look at what you came up with and share what the books says. Here is the link to the 2nd book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/det...=glance&s=books

Since I was cubed years ago, I'll have to go see if I can find mine. I probably still remember it, though...

This is fascinating! Don't know if you want us to post our cubing here, but thought I would.

1. Desert ~ Line and shadow, light and curve, blue-blue sky, bright sun.

2. Cube ~ in slight valley depression to front, small, compact, 1'x1'x1', shiny, lacquered red, rounded corners.

3. Ladder ~ size in correlation to cube - 1', leaning against cube bottom to top, black, lacquered.

4. Horse ~ Standing on rise of valley to the west. Looking down at cube. Dark brown, gleaming, muscular, good-sized, solid stallion. Mane flying as wind starts to blow and looks to east, then back at cube.

5. Sandstorm ~ hovering on eastern horizon. Grey/Tan. Passing, not threatening cube, benign, but wind begins to blow sand and sand banks against eastern side of cube. Cube stands firm.

6. Flowers ~ Daisies come from inside cube, sprout from the top in profusion. Wind blows daisies, but they hold their petals.

Okay, what's it mean? I figure I must be pretty solid, eh?

Yes, this is the place to post your Cube. Welcome!

I forgot to mention that The Desert is how you view life. With blue skies and sunshine, it appears you're an optimist.

(Some of this will be my intuitive take, too. Hope you don't mind!)

A small cube can denote humility, selflessness, objectivity, realism, intimacy, and preciousness. (as of stone or metal). Was your cube above, below, or in alignment with the horizon? Shiny indicates bright, attention-getting, achievement-oriented, and excelling at what you do. Red indicates warm-hearted, hot-tempered, passionate, courageous, aggressive and revolultionary. (Are you a Scorpio, by any chance? )

The fact that both your cube and the ladder are laquered may indicate "of the same type". Leaning could indicate that your friends lean on you, give you support, are close to you, touch you. Same height indicates you see your friends as your "equals".

Horse: brown may indicate warm, earthy, sensual, ordinary, unpretentious, brunette, African-American or Hispanic. A stallion means bold, assertive, adventurous, dominant, protective, proud.

Sandstorm: blinding, confusing, irritating, life-changing, a financial or material crisis. The fact that it's on the horizon means in the distant future, other people's trouble, or "on the evening news". The cube "standing firm" is your disposition toward trouble.

Flowers inside the cube: Key words, nutured, protected, possessed.

Possibilities:

You're pregnant, filled with longing for a child, you're very protective of and nurturing to your own children..maybe even a little overprotective. You're possessive and can't let go. You view your children as a part of you, which can stunt their growth. Your 20somethings are STILL living at home.

Workwise, it could indicate pregnant with ideas or incubating a project. Having trouble finishing things and letting them go out into the world where they'll be explosed to the weather of public scrutiny. This may cause a creative block. It can mean you have a home biz, or that you're possessive of your money.

Daisies indicate innocence and purity. The fact that their "petals" aren't affected by the storm would seem to indicate that your children/ideas are resilient as well.

What do you think?

Thanks for playing!

>>Dont mind at allthats what this is about, isnt it? Well, that does describe me, I guess. But Im not a ScorpioIm a Capricorn Moon in Taurus, Venus in Sag.

The fact that both your cube and the ladder are laquered may indicate "of the same type". Leaning could indicate that your friends lean on you, give you support, are close to you, touch you. Same height indicates you see your friends as your "equals".

>>Yep, fits well.

Horse: brown may indicate warm, earthy, sensual, ordinary, unpretentious, brunette, African-American or Hispanic. A stallion means bold, assertive, adventurous, dominant, protective, proud.

>>Woohooowish I had one of them around!

Sandstorm: blinding, confusing, irritating, life-changing, a financial or material crisis. The fact that it's on the horizon means in the distant future, other people's trouble, or "on the evening news". The cube "standing firm" is your disposition toward trouble.

>>Well, the crisis has been happening for the last 6 years and continuesdefinitely financial and material. But standing firmyepIm still here!

>>Okay, heres the inconsistency. Definitely NOT pregnant! My 20 somethings are out and on their own, exactly where I have consciously raised them to beindependent and pursuing their own lives. Yes, they will always be a part of methe best part. However, at one point I think I did cling too closely to my daughter during a time of turmoil, my divorce, and it has made her resentful. Our communication is very strained, but I have confidence that time will help us both grow to a mutual understanding.

Workwise, it could indicate pregnant with ideas or incubating a project. Having trouble finishing things and letting them go out into the world where they'll be explosed to the weather of public scrutiny. This may cause a creative block. It can mean you have a home biz, or that you're possessive of your money.

>>Right on target! Cant seem to finish a blinkin thing lately!

Daisies indicate innocence and purity. The fact that their "petals" aren't affected by the storm would seem to indicate that your children/ideas are resilient as well.

>>I know my kids are strong and will weather their storms well, becoming the fantastic people I know they are at heart. My ideas? Im just now coming to a point where I trust them and know their worthnow if I can just get them across to others!

What do you think?

>>Good job! Interesting stuff! Have you found your cube? Would you care to share?

I've done a bunch of these before so I'm afraid part of what I had in the back of my mind while I took the test is "I wonder what this is supposed to represent". For example to me ladder represents your view of 'the next world' or God or so on. I don't think of friends as ladders to use, I think of ladders as paths to move on to somewhere else. So probably my answers aren't quite a good match to what the author thought they would mean

* Desert
It's amusing but I am in the middle of a big personal project on Dune, so have just re-read the book, re-watched the Lynch movie and am halfway through re-watching the sci-fi miniseries. So yes, my desert was quite Duney. You said simple, straigh-line horizon, blue sky, sand. So that's what I saw

* Cube
I had this mental desert image as instructed. Then suddenly a "CUBE!!" appears in it. So me that is very much the mental image from 2001 - strange unnatural straight-edged object appears suddenly in quiet landscape. So to me that sequence came with the dramatic music, a big black cube (about obelisk-sized) with rough texture and a sense that this was bringing intelligence from another world, maybe a bit threatening but something you approached anyway. But again to me it didn't have any sense of it being "me" or any person. That was my reaction to "quiet desert suddenly has a CUBE!!" If it seemed to mean anything to me afterwards, it was more a "how do you deal with conflict or change" since this cube was an unnatural item appearing in a quite natural world.

Ladder:
Once I hit ladder, being another unnatural item in a desert, my brain started into the "I wonder what each symbol is going to mean" pathways. It's a shame the experiment didn't use items that fit into the landscape so they weren't quite as jarring. Anyway I had already envisioned the ladder before I then thought the ladder was probably my view of God or my life-path. My ladder was of rough but sturdy wood - well worn but very reliable and dependable. It was pointed straight up at the sky as if to let you climb up into the clouds. Again, when I think of it I don't think of friends. I wouldn't climb friends or step on them to 'use them' to get somewhere. I think of the ladder as my path. I wonder if there's a whole sub-test about what you think of the meanings of the test items

Horse:
If anything would mean friends to me, it would be a horse. A companion to go through thick and thin with, to feed and care for. My horse was brown, nibbling on the grass, enjoying the relaxing day. A gentle breeze stirred its mane and tail. It didn't really mind the cube or ladder, they were just part of its world. Again, to me the horse would be my friends. Sure, my lover would be ONE of those friends If anything, my lover should always be my BEST friend. Nice horsie

STORM:
My storm was a grey-clouded thunderstorm off in the distance, bringing some nice cool rain and wind with it. I love the sound of thunderstorms and enjoy that they water our world for us. I can see the storm as 'trouble' or maybe more for me a 'force for change'.

FLOWERS:
I don't see flowers as children or projects really, because I don't think of flowers as something you care for All of the flowers I have around my house were planted years ago and they simply pop up each year and bring me joy. So I would think of flowers as the pleasures of life, the things that make it worth living. In my desert, there were suddenly (when you mentioned it) small pockets of little colorful flowers scattered all around it. Not a big field, but just little groups of 2 or 3 of them, brightening up their little spot.

I do love these sorts of tests though, post more!

hehe! Okay here is my cube!

Desert = white sands, with the sloping dunes.. clear sky of an extrememly light blue

Cube = a stone cube with celtic designs carved around the sides, sort of a grey color.

Ladder = a handmade wooden ladder (like what the native americans used on those houses that are stacked)leaning against the cube

Horse = a winged black horse (stallion)on the top of the cube, rearing up with wings spread and mane flying

Storm = a rainstorm, moving off into the distance, with dark greyish purple clouds, and rain falling upon the desert

Flowers = in the wake of the storm, sprouting from the desert, and a few in the mane of the horse. (wild flowers, all different kinds)

K, so in your opinion what does all that represent?
ps this is fun!

(sorry had to edit it, forgot to add the actual details, like what kinds of flowers lol!)

Hi!!! I just stubbled across this forum and this "cube" thing looked interesting. Here's what I "saw"

desert - rolling yellow dunes, very barren, very stark

Cube - a soft, kinda powder blue; shiny; about 6',6', plastic, smooth edges, no hard edges, floating about 4 feet off the ground

Ladder - wooden; rough rungs; older, house-ladder style; chipped yellow paint; standing up on one end; to the right (me facing these objects) of the cube; the same distance from "me" as the cube.

Storm - black rolling clouds, moving slowly toward "me", thunder & lightning, no rain, a long distance behind other objects so causing them no harm

Horse - palamino - white with brown spots (think, indian pony); average size (not overly big like a Belgian, not a little pony); right in front of the ladder

Flowers - fuschia pink; look like azaelias; cut (not growing) in a round pot with a smaller lip then base; in front of the cube; closer to "me" then the horse.

Maybe y'all can help me figure out what this means. Thanks. --Kati

Some thoughts:

First of all, if any are interested, if you go to http://personal.ansir.com/cube.htm and enter your info there (you can just copy and paste to there) it will eventually show you a Cube dictionary. It's not as extensive as both of the Cube books, though. I highly recommed the 2nd Cube book, actually Secrets of The Cube. A lot of extensive explanation that the first book doesn't get into.

Katlynn,

Dunes suggest sensuality.

Barren/stark desert: a sign of extreme self reliance. You don't ask for help.

Floating cube: dreamer, original, incurable romantic. Visionary. Intuitive. Optimistic, idealistic, spiritual, living in ideas or fantasy, impractical, above it all. Plastic: of blue-collar origin, unpretentious, proud to be ordinary, "salt of the earth".

Ladder: Old wood: old friends, familiar and comfortable, older than you.

Storm: Black clouds: worries, threatening but not actual. Thunder: quarrels, just sound a fury, threatening, rumored. Lightning: shocking, galvanizing, giving you a jolt, illuminating, enlightening.

Horse: Palomino: Your pal, fair (in any sense), good as gold, blond. (I think you mean Pinto, though. Pinto is: friendly, versatile, moody, artistic, the object of mixed feelings. Also, a lover with dark hair and pale complexion; someone with a crazy patchwork of interests and experiences (even a checkered past), or with strong dark and light moods.

Cut flowers can represent adopted children, or grown children...those who didn't "sprout here" or who have "cut their roots". Nonetheless, having them on display near the Cube indicates great parental pride, even bragging. The fact that their closer to your than the horse may mean that your children/projects are closer to you than your mate. Azalea's mean protectiveness; fragile or fleeting passion; Chinese symbol of womanhood. Pink indicates feminity and warmth.

All

This takes me quite a bit of work because I have to look everything up by hand. I'll try to get to the other ones soon, probably Monday or later since I'll be offline for a few days.

White Fox, I did find my Cube! I was in the basement looking for old articles I had written, and I found my cube info in a folder. I have a fascinating story to tell about my ladder (I was cubed a few months after my first husband's death), and about me cubing my present husband when we were friends...and close to dating. I almost crapped myself because it was as if he was describing me to a T! Too funny.

I will say that my Cube floats...and is identical to my present husband's, if you can believe it! (I have his Cube info, too)

Stay tuned!

WOW!!! That's actually pretty dang accurate. The one thing that isn't is the "many children". I've only got one daughter, and don't plan on having any more, EVER. DD and I are at constant logger-heads and I can't see bringing another child into this world (or, should I say, parenting another child) when I can hardly get along with the one I've got. I think you did say before it can mean projects, and I've always got a lot of those and am very protective of them.

You're right about the horse, I did mean Pinto. *grin* And pinto definitely describes my DH (with the exception of artistic, that is), but he's friendly, moody, versatile, dark hair and "fair" complection (although, he's still darker than I am).

This is pretty cool. Thanks for the "reading". --Kati
