Wendy - I can't think of who RPI could be. Could it be QPR? Queens Parks Rangers are a London team, but they could have been playing in Manchester for some reason.

Yes qpr, and yes they were playing at a stadium that neither team belonged to. The host stadium's colors were yellow and black and their mascot was a hornet. It was years ago. And the bf at the time was the footie fan...I was just there because I loved him.
