The final five candidates to host the 2012 Summer Games are Paris, Madrid, London, New York, and Moscow. These candidates go forward to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) final vote in July 2005. The clear favorites at the moment are Paris, Madrid, and London.
So it looks like the Olympics are heading back to Europe after the
2008 Summer Games in Beijing, China. In the meantime, don't forget the
2006 Winter Games in Turin, Italy.
