Vannie,

Oh no! I've been dragging my feet giving you a chance to catch up and then did not check back for a couple of weeks and you have finished already!

No problem. Now I can gobble it up the way I usually read mysteries. I'm just at chapter seven but the writing has begun to smooth out and loose some of the distractiveness that I noticed in the beginning. The endings a shocker, huh? Great

Yeah, what happened with your profile?

AND...I got my Spice Plus Biz newsletter. Thanks!

Jean

Hi Jean,

Our forum has been updated. It met a glitch but I think the previous posts will be corrected.

Yes. The ending is such a surprise. Start gobbling so we can talk about this book.

Also if you go to www.spicesplus.biz and look at the SPB @ Home link you will see your profile also.

Talk to you soon

I re-read Blind Spot after reading comments concerning the heroines disability. It is dyslexia, I did remember attorney Jackie Flowers great understanding of Lily's feelings towards school. I also checked out Kane's web site. She's an interesting woman. http://www.writerkane.com/bio.htm I wasn't really sure I wanted read another novel by her but now I know that I do. I would like to see if she delves deeper into the problems of being a successful attorney with dyslesxia. Lawyers make their living by reading It's an interesting and encouraging concept.

Vannie,

I am so sorry it's been so long getting back to you. I did gobble up the book and enjoyed it! It moved along wonderfully, the flowery language from the first few pages tapered off and the author was adept at dropping clues at just the right intervals. But.....I wasn't surprised at the ending! I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who reads the book after us, so I'll send you a PM telling you what tipped me off.

Oh, I almost forgot! The references to dyslexia were very interesting to me. Both my husband and my son suffer from this condition. My husband is very affected by this. My son, on the other hand, doesn't let it hold him back (he just says thank goodness for spell-checkers). Things are so much better for sufferers of dyslexia since it has become recognized by the educational community. My poor husband had to go through school feeling stupid all of his life (he certainily ISN'T).

Your turn to choose an author again.

Vannie,

I've been offered the option of receiving e-mail notifications when I start a post, but not when I respond to someone else's post. Can you tell me if there is a way I can get an e-mail notification when I respond to a post that you (or someone else) started? It would sure help me!

Thanks,

Jean

Jeanne,

When you are posting in a forum take a look just below at the end of the page as you are typing, it will show Extra information , there you will see Favorite Topic! (toggle). Click onto that to make the forum topic a favorite, I believe that you will be notified at your e-maill when someone posts there. However, I will check with someone to be sure that I am correct.

I did it. Thanks Vannie. I need this kind of reminder with my busy life! Think of it, reminding ourselves to take time for some fun!
